crazy about corsets

ever since seeing old style films like titanic, antoinette and romeo & juliet, i've been crazy for corsets! i've wanted one for so long but couldn't find any styles that were reasonably priced, tight enough, or looked appropriate anywhere else than a fancy dress masquerade ball.
well, i have finally found a brilliant little store online, who make exquisitely designed, custom and ready-to-wear corsetry!
not only does meschantes corsetry make beautiful high fashion couture corsets, but they make them in the style you want, to fit your exact measurements, and with your choice of a vast selection of colours and fabrics!

i'm in love with this modernised weskit halter corset! aren't you? i could see myself wearing this everyday! only question is.. black or grey?






next, the etoile under-bust. i love the lacey look, but a plain black taffeta fabric would go nicely over most modern outfits!






and finally the contessa or 'sweetheart' over-bust. need i say more?

wishing upon a star

i am definitely one of the biggest disney devotees out there. so when i first came across disney couture jewelery, i was twitterpated!

as hard as it was to select a favourite, i couldn't go past the suites bangle bracelet, complete with adorable dangling rabbit charm, from the alice in wonderland collection by kidada jones.



this sweet bangle is 14k gold-plated white resin and embellished with swarovski crystals.

36 inch pirates of the caribbean skull necklace made from yellow base metal, with a weight of 38.8 grams. yaargh!



30" chain necklace with stunning pearl enamel and gold hinged pendant of cinderella's pumpkin carriage that opens to reveal cinderella's glass slipper! also featuring six dangling leaves encrusted with green swarovski crystals and glass bead extender. beautiful.

i could go on forever, but i'll add this last one because i love this quote. It just sends me flying off to the second star to the right and straight on till morning!



14k gold plated chain and woven silk tinkerbell bracelet with toggle closure. featuring the nostalgic inscription 'think of a wonderful thought' from peter pan. i do wish it came in red or black silk though!
