i received an amazing collection of lovely gifts from my friends, family and extended family and i'd just like to say thank-you so much and oh crap, what ever will i get you for your birthdays?!

twenty-one today

although i'm now twenty-one i'm still a 11 year old trapped in a 16 year old's body. one day i'll probably be grateful for that!

anyway, i had a lovely black and white cocktail night at my house to celebrate my coming of age and everyone looked so brilliant in their formal attire. While decorating i discovered this beautiful candelabra of mums, hidden in the laundry cupboard!



i'm unquestionably stealing it when i move out!

lighten up

so what's another obsession of mine?
lighting. i can't go past a lighting shop or department without looking in; even though i can't put them anywhere yet. my main weakness in particular- chandeliers! so dramatic and feminine. i pray for a house with high ceilings!



this modernized silver chrome luxe chandelier is amazing. and i also wouldn't mind the matching table lamp too thank-you!

gorgeous or grotesque? sinister or sweet? there is certainly something unsettling about these porcelain candle holders, but i've decided that they're devine.



use a dripless candle to keep their heads bald, if not, fashion them with locks of beeswax.
at around AU$150 a head, means i'll start saving now!

beetle juice

over time you will come to understand my adoration of wallpaper.
this pattern is a current favourite of mine, probably because it's weird, mostly because it's unique, and surprisingly because it's sold in australia.
